For Writers

We publish authors, not just manuscripts

Editorial guidance, professional design, in-house printing, and a route into schools across Pakistan — from first draft to finished book.

What we look for

The kind of work we take on

We read every submission. These are the categories where we can genuinely do a manuscript justice.

Educational titles

Curriculum-aligned material for primary and secondary classrooms, including workbooks, readers, and teacher companions.

Children's fiction

Illustrated stories and early readers that build reading confidence and hold a young reader's attention.

Nonfiction

Clear, well-researched writing for young and general readers — history, science, biography, and reference.

The process

From submission to shelf

No agent required. Send us your work directly and we will come back to you.

  1. 01

    Send your manuscript

Email a synopsis, a short author biography, and a sample of three chapters to info@kangaroopublications.com.

  2. 02

    Editorial review

Our editorial team reads the sample and assesses fit against our current publishing programme.

  3. 03

    Offer and agreement

If we move forward, we set out the terms, the schedule, and the rights arrangement in writing before any work begins.

  4. 04

    Editing, design, and print

You work with an editor and a designer through to proof stage, then we handle printing and distribution.

What you get

Support at every stage

A named editor

One point of contact who knows your book, from structural notes through to final proofread.

Design and illustration

Cover and interior design handled in-house, with illustration commissioned where a title calls for it.

In-house printing

We control the print run ourselves, which keeps quality consistent and turnaround short.

Routes to readers

Established relationships with schools, teachers, and educational buyers across the country.
